DVD - A Documentary on Abronia in the wild, and a review of captive husbandry essentials We made a trip to Mexico in November of 2007 looking for 3 species of Abronia. Our goal was to shoot footage of Abronia in the wild, and offer a documentary on the experience which would include thorough coverage of cloud forest habitat and a look at some of the other inhabitants that share this unique environment with our favorite subjects. The resulting video from this trip is about an hour of professionaly edited footage, narrated and set to music from the Latin American musical group, Amauta. We used an HD camera for most of the footage and have plenty of shots on Abronia in the wild. As an additional bonus we added about 30 minutes of footage from our breeding facility walking through species profiles and captive husbandry essentials on setting up enclosures, and maintaining Abronia in captivity. The video includes footage of Abronia graminea, martindecampoi, taeniata and vasconcelosii. We have had lots of great feedback on this film project. All net proceeds from the sale of this video will go towards our conservation plans to purchase additional land in Mexico that will preserve pristine cloud forest habitat for Abronia. The DVD can be purchased for $24.95, plus $5 shipping and handling to the US. International shipping is $9. for more information contact us at: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
